944mm 26/27 July : 15 hours , 20 hours, 28 hours, .... in a car

A feat that many performed. Every next person you contact would say "thats nothing" i stayed for x hours. ( x > y, where y = the number of hours the previous person had stayed in the car/bus). Poor traffic management. Wait. Not Poor. No traffic management. There we NO policemen anywhere (they might have got wet, so cant blame them) to direct traffic. The BEST personnel didnt know that roads would be flooded and pushed their buses into routes where there was already endless traffic and water.

Ordinary citizens helped the stranded by distributing tea, coffee, water, biscuits, fruits.

Many have abandoned their cars etc. on the way (in the traffic) and walked home.

There was NO police. It was raining. They would have got wet.
