The BMC has reportedly proposed a beautification plan on the banks of the Mithi.

We had identified the Mithi river to be a potential time-bomb even before most people even knew that it was called the Mithi River. Infact old time residents of Kurle/Bailbazaar narrate how in the good old days people used to drink water from the river since it was sweet. (Hence the name).
