India beats England at Mumbai
Alt. title : India loses to England at Mumbai
Whats this ? First its said that India won (which is apparently incorrect) and then it says that India lost. As we shall soon see - Indian players did win.
These are the days when everything is stage managed to precision. Matches are fixed to no end and the players and administrators both relish the situation. The players on the other hand need not sweat it out under the hot sun, for they can cooly throw their wickets and rush back to the cool climes of the pavillion to have their chilled beers. The players win.
If we look at the situation in a cricketing way what we observe is that the selectors are incompetent - blame Kiran More for that. The batsmen are old aging and getting rusted by the day - for example - Sachin Tendular.
The players are getting paid in lakhs for losing or not even playing (e.g Saurav Ganguly). In addition to this regular payment they rake in even more from the bookies - for having danced to their tunes while on the field.
And probably some good news - the big T is going to England to get some part of his aging body operated upon. He's been ruled out for the forthcoming matches. Probably a "polite" way of easing him out. The administrators dont want another round of brickbats which they received when they dumped Ganguly. They have learnt some lessons from that experience.
Every cloud has a silver lining.
